A tragic accident occurred on Wednesday evening when a Koshi Province police vehicle overturned in Bhattimode, Biratnagar Metropolitan City-15. The incident resulted in injuries to 30 police personnel.
The ill-fated vehicle, a two-ton police Two Ten with registration number Ba 1 CGa 2559, was deployed to provide security during the Muharram festival. It is reported that the accident happened while police were protecting a child.
The injured officers were immediately rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment. Twenty-two are undergoing medical care at Koshi Hospital, five at Neuro Hospital, two at Birat Medical College, and one at Nobel Medical College. Among them, Police Assistant Inspector Yogendra Magar and Police Constable Sanjay Ojha have sustained critical injuries.
