In a much-anticipated event for cricket enthusiasts across the nation, the PM Cup Men’s National Cricket Tournament 2024, organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal, is all set to commence on Saturday, January 13. This domestic extravaganza will witness intense competition among ten formidable teams, culminating in the showdown scheduled for February 3.
The sixth edition of the PM Cup Men’s National Cricket Tournament promises to be a thrilling affair, featuring a total of 46 matches played among the participating teams. The teams vying for cricket supremacy in this tournament include Bagmati Province, Nepal Police Club, Koshi Province, Madhesh Province, Lumbini Province, Gandaki Province, Nepal APF Club, Karnali Province, Tribhuwan Army Club, and Sudur Paschim Province.
Spread across three carefully selected venues, the tournament aims to showcase the cricketing talent of the nation. The TU International Cricket Ground, Mulpani International Cricket Ground, and Bhairahawa Cricket Ground have been chosen as the battlegrounds for this edition. Among them, TU International Cricket Ground is set to witness the most action, hosting a total of 18 matches, followed closely by Mulpani International Cricket Ground with 17 matches, and Bhairahawa Cricket Ground with 11 matches.
The defending champions, Armed Police Force (APF) Club, will be looking to maintain their dominance after a spectacular performance in the previous year’s final. In a gripping showdown against Tribhuwan Army Club, APF Club emerged victorious, posting a formidable total of 179 runs in 39 overs.
