Renowned Indian actor Govinda marked International Women’s Day in Rautahat, Nepal. The Bollywood star arrived to participate in the Madhani festival, which commenced today in Maulapur, Rautahat.
Joined by Aam Janata Party (AJP) President Prabhu Sah and Maulapur Mayor Rina Sah, Govinda ceremoniously released a balloon into the sky to commemorate International Women’s Day.
Expressing his delight at celebrating the occasion in Nepal, the actor emphasized the importance of empowering women. He also commended Mayor Rina for her contributions to the community’s development.
AJP President Sah stated that the Aam Mahila Morcha, the party’s women’s wing, had highlighted International Women’s Day at the Madhani festival. They declared that 51 percent of women’s rights should be ensured at every level and body within the state.
The event served as a platform to recognize the achievements of women and renew the commitment to gender equality and women’s empowerment in Nepal.
