The first 2025 season of League of Legends arrives, announced with cinematics created by the Arcane studio: Welcome to Noxus.
After the extraordinary success of Arcane, League of Legends enters with a straight leg announcing season 1 of the new year which still breathes the air of the Netflix series. All thanks to the cinematics designed by the French studio Fortiche, creator of the series, which catapults us into the heart of Noxus, one of the most fascinating places in Runeterra.
The video shows several elements of lore related to the Noxus region. The inhabitants of this empire had to toughen themselves through continuous difficulties. Noxians must earn respect through force, demonstrating their superiority through constant combat.
It’s no longer just a rumor that Mel Medarda will be the new League champion. Her character, which originates from the animated series, officially becomes part of the “League of Legends” showing herself among the protagonists of the cinematic, wrapped in red robes as she sets foot in her homeland.
Among the “veteran” characters of LoL we find Katarina, Darius, Leblanc, Vladimir and Swain.
The second season of Arcane had already introduced both details on Noxus and on the Black Rose, the order to which some of the characters mentioned are linked, blending both the fandom of the game and that of the series in the best possible way.
We can only congratulate Riot Games for having made the most of the name of League of Legends and the notoriety of the Netflix series, giving a great kick-off to this new 2025 season. A move that can only earn a lot new user for the famous video game.
