In a transfer twist fit for a Hollywood script, Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr is reportedly aiming to reunite Cristiano Ronaldo with his former teammate Casemiro, at the behest of the Portuguese superstar himself.

News broke via Foot Mercato that Ronaldo, enjoying life in the Middle East after his high-profile switch last year, has urged Al-Nassr to pursue the Brazilian defensive midfielder. This comes amid speculation about Casemiro’s future at Manchester United, where his playing time has decreased under Erik ten Hag.

The report suggests that while the 30-year-old remains under contract until 2026, he could be open to a new challenge – potentially one offering a hefty financial package alongside the chance to link up with his old friend Ronaldo once more.

The duo enjoyed immense success together at Real Madrid, forming a key part of the team that dominated Europe in the late 2010s. Their on-field connection translated off the pitch as well, and reuniting in the twilight of their careers could hold significant appeal for both players.

However, obstacles lie ahead. Al-Nassr currently have a full quota of foreign players, meaning they would need to offload someone before signing Casemiro. Additionally, Manchester United may be hesitant to let go of a player who still holds significant value, although his diminished role could soften their stance.
