Future reinforcement for Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen. The German team begins the year with the signing of Argentine striker Alejo Sarco. The under-20 international joins the German champions from Argentine champions CA Vélez Sarsfield with immediate effect.
The 18-year-old center forward is considered a great talent in his country and has signed a contract with Leverkusen until June 30, 2029.
“Alejo Sarco is a promise for the future of Bayer 04 Leverkusen,” explains the club’s sporting director, Simon Rolfes. And he adds: “He is a technically skilled player, fast, agile and energetic in duels. With his finishing ability, he completes the profile of a modern center forward. Alejo has a promising career ahead of him.”

The Argentine player has declared that this signing is “a step towards a top club in Europe. It is something I dreamed of,” says the 1.79 meter tall left-hander. “Bayer 04 had been interested for a long time, which made me follow the club’s fantastic last season even more intensely. For me it is exciting to be part of this team in the future and a great challenge to reinforce it with my resources,” he concluded.
