The Bhangaha-Janakpur-Jayanagar railway service is operational again as of this morning, Tuesday, May 21st, 2024.
Service was temporarily halted from May 18th to 20th due to the Lok Sabha elections held in neighboring Madhubani and Sitamarhi districts of India, bordering Nepal’s Mahottari and Dhanusha districts. With the Indian elections complete, the Nepal Railway Company Limited has resumed regular train operations.
