The online community and football fans are in mourning as Abhradeep Saha, known by his fans as Angry Rantman, passed away at the age of 27. His family confirmed on Wednesday that the Kolkata-based YouTuber died due to multiple organ failure.
His health issues became public last month following his admission to a Bengaluru hospital for major surgery. Despite initial hopes for recovery, Saha’s condition worsened this week, culminating in life support before his passing.
Angry Rantman first shot to fame in 2017 after his passionate critique of the English Premier League club Chelsea, titled “No passion, no vision,” went viral. Following this, his channel became a popular platform for sports and movie reaction videos.
The Indian football community, where Saha was a beloved figure, has expressed its grief and condolences. Bengaluru FC, among other clubs, recognized his fervent support and contribution to Indian football. “A West Block Blue through and through, Abhradeep’s love for the game knew no bounds and the passion in his rants will be missed,” the club stated.
Kerala Blasters also paid tribute, tweeting, “Today, we mourn the loss of one of the most enthusiastic and passionate voices in Indian football. We will dearly miss his memorable rants and love for the beautiful game.”
