The Department of Water and Meteorology’s weather forecast division reports a mixed weather pattern across Nepal for April 30th, Today, due to the combined effects of western winds and localized weather conditions.
Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces are experiencing partly to mostly cloudy skies. The remaining hilly areas have partly cloudy weather, with mostly clear conditions throughout the rest of the country.
This afternoon, skies will generally clear across the nation’s hilly regions, while the rest of Nepal will see partly cloudy conditions. There is a chance of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in isolated instances within the hilly areas and the possibility of light snowfall in the high hills and Himalayan regions.
Some areas within the Lumbini, Madhesh, Sudurpaschim, and Koshi regions could experience windstorms, with a few other locations nationwide also likely to be affected.
Tonight, clear conditions will prevail in the hilly parts of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali regions. Light rain, thunder, and lightning remain possible in isolated areas within the hilly regions of Gandaki province. One or two locations within the high hills and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces could receive light snowfall.
