Arsenal has ended their 14-year wait for a Champions League quarterfinal appearance with a thrilling penalty shootout victory over FC Porto. After a 1-1 aggregate score over two legs, the Gunners prevailed 4-2 in the shootout to secure their spot in the last eight.

Facing a 1-0 deficit from the first leg, Arsenal leveled the tie with a 1-0 win in the second leg at home. With the score deadlocked after extra time, the match went to a dramatic penalty shootout.

Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka, and Declan Rice all converted their spot-kicks for Arsenal, while goalkeeper David Raya made two crucial saves against Porto’s Wendell and Galeno. Pepe and Marko Grujic scored Porto’s only penalties.
