Kathmandu: Ashma Kumari KC has been crowned Miss Nepal World 2024 at a grand finale held in Godawari, Lalitpur. The coveted title was bestowed upon her by her predecessor, Srichchha Pradhan, Miss Nepal 2023. With this win, KC will represent Nepal at the Miss World pageant.
Karuna Rawat and Sumana KC were awarded the titles of Miss Nepal International and Miss Nepal Earth, respectively. The event also recognized five sub-title winners: Shraddha Suman Silwal (Miss Photogenic), Ashma Kumari KC (Face of the Year), Dikshya Awasthi (Miss Intellectual), Sumana KC (Beauty with a Purpose), and Kimti Shrestha (Woman with Wings).
KC impressed the panel of judges with her insightful answer to the final question regarding climate change. She emphasized the urgent need for collective action to address the growing environmental challenges facing Nepal and the world.
The Miss Nepal pageant, organized by The Hidden Treasure, celebrated its 30th anniversary this year. Former Miss Nepal Rubi Rana, who won the title in 1994, expressed her pride in the organization’s journey and achievements.
Due to scheduling conflicts, Srichchha Pradhan will represent Nepal at the Miss World 2025 pageant, which is slated for February or March next year.
