Ubisoft has announced that it has postponed the publication of Assassin’s Creed Shadows for the second time. Through a press release sent to the editorial staff, the French company explained that the development team needs more time to complete the work.

“As part of the renewed focus on quality gameplay and immersive experiences on Day-1, it has been decided to provide an additional month of development for Assassin’s Creed Shadows,” reads the press note. “This additional time will allow the team to better incorporate player feedback obtained over the last three months and help create the best conditions for launch while continuing to interact closely with the Assassin’s Creed community.”

Ubisoft has announced that the new release date for Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been set for March 20, 2025.

That’s not all: CEO Yves Guillemot announced that he has “taken decisive measures to reshape the Group to deliver first-class gaming experiences, improve operational efficiency and maximize value creation.” Guillemot said the company has appointed consultants to explore “various strategic and capitalistic options” to unlock the full value potential of the company’s assets.

Going beyond the corporate issues, this means that Ubisoft is also evaluating the possibility of selling the group to a third party. According to the press release, “Ubisoft will inform the market, in accordance with current regulations, if and when a transaction materializes.” In any case, we will keep you informed of any developments.
