After the death of Akira Toriyama last year, multiple mangakas have taken on the task of paying tribute to the work of Goku’s father. One of these is Eiichirō Oda, the person responsible for One Piece, who not long ago made an illustration that reminds us of one of the classic Dragon Ball covers.
Volume 42 of Dragon Ball is one of the most iconic of the manga, since it shows us Goku saying goodbye to the reader, marking the end of the original story. In this way, it stands out that Oda was in charge of carrying out this tribute. Not only do we see his characteristic style on Goku’s face, but he made a very important change. Instead of Majin Buu, Luffy’s father has used Akira Toriyama.
Both Dragon Ball and One Piece are works that will mark anime and manga lovers. Although each has a generation of differences, the two works are used as a reference point for many of the young mangakas in Shonen Jump and other publishers. On related topics, there is already a date for the return of the Dragon Ball Super manga. Likewise, Vegeta transforms into Super Saiyan Phase 3.
