A passenger traveling from Mahendranagar to Baitadi passed away on arrival at the destination. The deceased has been identified as 42-year-old Krishnanand Joshi, a resident of Tichaura in Dasharathchand Municipality-9, Baitadi, according to the police.
Joshi, returning home from India, boarded Mahakali Transport bus number Na 4 Kha 6384 at Attariya. He reportedly fainted upon reaching Patan and was rushed to District Hospital Baitadi for medical attention. Sadly, the hospital doctor declared Joshi dead upon arrival.
The cause of Joshi’s death remains unknown at this time. Police have detained the bus driver, Jagdish Awasthi, and co-driver, Chandradev Pandey, for further investigation. The District Police Office in Baitadi is looking into the incident.
