Summit Air, which has been operating flights to Bajhang twice a week for two years, suspended services in April 2024 due to weather and other factors. The airline has now resumed regular operations, adhering to its previous schedule.

Hikmat Bahadur Singh, the Bajhang representative of Summit Air, explained that the suspension was temporary due to adverse weather conditions. With improved weather, the airline has resumed regular flights. He also announced a reduction in freight rates compared to previous levels.

The travel fare between Bajhang and Dhangadhi has been reduced to Rs 6,730 from Rs 7,000. The return fare from Dhangadhi to Bajhang has been set at Rs 6,830.

The long suspension of flights had caused significant inconvenience to passengers and emergency patients requiring timely medical attention. The resumption of flights is expected to alleviate these issues, especially during the rainy season when road access is often disrupted.
