Four individuals, including one Indian national, have been arrested by Bara police for allegedly manufacturing large quantities of counterfeit Nepali rupees.
The arrests were made on Monday in Simraungadh Municipality-9 Kachorwa, Sano Busbaria, Bara, based on a tip received by the police.
According to Bara Police Spokesperson DSP Dadhiram Neupane, those arrested are Rajan Choudhary (25) of Kolhabi Municipality-6, Bara, Akash Chaudhary (19) of Ward-5, Bara, Mohan Kumar Sah (19) of Rajpur Municipality-1, Rautahat, and Mohammad Alam (40) of Village Kharasalawa-7, Panchayat Kabaiya, Thana Jharokhar, Bihar, India.
A significant amount of counterfeit currency, totaling 13 lakh 16 thousand rupees, was confiscated during the operation. Additionally, two motorcycles (Na 34 Pa 3512 and B.R. 06 AW 2758) and a bicycle were seized.
The Bara District Police Office has indicated that further investigations are ongoing regarding the arrested individuals.
