Krishna Prasad Bastola, the ward president of Bansgadhi Municipality-4, has been arrested on charges of rape. DSP Tulsiram Aryal, Information Officer of the District Police Office in Bardia, confirmed the arrest.
According to DSP Aryal, Bastola was detained following a rape complaint filed by a 20-year-old woman from Bansgadhi Municipality. An investigation into the allegations is currently underway. Bastola was taken into custody on Thursday night.
