Eight people have been confirmed dead in a devastating jeep accident that occurred on the route between Dharan and Ghoretar, Bhojpur. Initial reports indicate that seven individuals died at the scene of the accident, while one person tragically passed away while receiving medical care.
The District Police Office in Bhojpur, through DSP Sudeep Raj Pathak, has identified the deceased as:
- Man Bahadur Basnet (40), jeep driver, from Itahari-9
- Parbat Maya Rai (70), Hatuwagadi Rural Municipality-2
- Chandra Prasad Rai (23), Hatuwagadi Rural Municipality-2
- Bishang Chamling Rai (6 months), Hatuwagadi Rural Municipality-2
- Raj Kumari Rai (32), Hatuwagadi-5
- Padam Bahadur Thapa (68), Hatuwagadi-9
- Kamala Adhikari (45), Hatuwagadi-5
- Kishan Rai (42), Hatuwagadi-5
Those injured in the accident are currently being treated at the B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences.
