Big third-party games would be on their way to Switch 2

Last week was a rollercoaster of emotions for Nintendo fans, as the long-awaited Switch 2 was revealed firsthand, a device that is constantly being talked about even though the details in the video were scarce. And while the live event that we will have in a couple more months arrives, rumors were revealed in relation to the software that will make an appearance on the console, at least if we talk about games from third parties.

According to well-known insider eXtas1s, several important titles could come to the new hybrid console, including some of the most notable games of the last generation. So it is possible that there is some type of chip much more advanced than the current one, with perhaps twice the power.

Among the mentioned game names are Diablo 4, Starfield, Elden Ring, a Call of Duty title, and Fallout 4, according to the leaked information. The insider, known for his previous successes in leaks related to Game Pass, also noted that previously rumored titles, such as Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Microsoft Flight Simulator and Tekken 8, would be on the way.

Although Nintendo has not officially confirmed this list, the possible launch of these games reinforces the idea that the new console could have significantly more power than the current model, allowing graphically intensive titles to be run. This would be an important step to strengthen its relationship with third-party developers and offer a more robust experience for players, while delivering the usual exclusives.

For now, all of this information should be taken with a grain of salt, as it is based on rumors. However, if the reports turn out to be true, the Nintendo Switch 2 could be positioned as an ideal platform for both exclusives and cross-platform hits. We will have to wait for future confirmations to discover how ambitious the catalog of this long-awaited console will be, which we will know in depth on April 2.
