Kirtipur, Nepal – In a spectacular display of skill and determination, Tribhuvan Army Club captain Binod Bhandari stole the spotlight by scoring a century in the Prime Minister’s Cup One Day National Cricket Tournament. The gripping encounter unfolded at the TU Stadium in Kirtipur on Monday, where the army faced off against Madhesh State.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Binod Bhandari led his team from the front with a masterful innings. The captain’s remarkable century was achieved in style, smashing 89 balls during the opening ball of the 43rd over. Bhandari’s aggressive yet calculated approach contributed significantly to the army’s formidable total.

Throughout the innings, other key contributors for the Army included Kushal Malla, who scored 37 runs, Imran Sheikh with 26 runs, Santosh Karki notching up 42 runs, Bhim Sarki contributing 18 runs, and Sandeep Rasaili, who unfortunately was out for a duck with 0 runs.

However, Madhesh State’s bowler, Ranjit Kumar, emerged as a formidable force, clinching four crucial wickets during the encounter. Kumar’s impressive bowling performance posed a significant challenge to the Tribhuvan Army Club’s batting lineup, demonstrating his prowess on the field.
