A young man visiting Biratnagar for a wedding ceremony tragically lost his life in a stabbing attack on Wednesday night.
The victim, identified as Aklesh Kumar Yadav of Duhabi Municipality-12, Sunsari, was a guest at the wedding of his great-grandfather’s Daughter in Biratnagar Metropolitan Municipality-4. According to Morang District Police spokesperson DSP Gyanendra Basnet, Aklesh was stabbed multiple times by Ganesh Yadav, a resident of Biratnagar.
Aklesh was rushed to Nobel Medical College for treatment but succumbed to his injuries. The suspect, Ganesh, remains at large.
Police investigations have revealed a possible mobile phone dispute between Aklesh and Ganesh that may have motivated the attack. A few days before the wedding, an argument reportedly occurred between the two men regarding a mobile phone.
DSP Basnet confirmed the ongoing search for Ganesh and urged anyone with information to contact the authorities. This senseless act of violence has left Aklesh’s family and friends in mourning.
