The highly anticipated film “Boksi Ko Ghar” has revealed the haunting first look of its lead character, played by Keki Adhikari. The poster was unveiled during a festive Phagu Purnima event by producer/actress Adhikari and former Miss Nepal Malvika Subba. The unveiled image showcases a chilling transformation of Keki’s character.
“We’ve deliberately kept the full ‘witch’ look under wraps in our teasers and songs. It’s our main publicity hook,” Keki explained, “I’m hoping this will spark a lot of curiosity and discussion.”
Writer and director Sulakshan Bharti promises a unique cinematic experience, stating, “This film tackles a serious social issue, offering audiences something fresh and thought-provoking.” The story draws inspiration from a play performed eight years ago.
“Boksi Ko Ghar” explores the dark social realities of alleged witchcraft and the violence it perpetuates against women. This social thriller aims to resonate with audiences both in Nepal and beyond, with plans for international screenings and film festival participation.
The film boasts a talented cast including Supal Sapkota, Swechha Raut, Sulakshan Bharti, Rama Thapaliya, Sushma Niraula, and Sabin Bastola. Produced under Keki Adhikari Films, “Boksi Ko Ghar” is set to haunt theaters on 14th Baisakh.
