A series of disturbing incidents involving the deaths and injuries of bulls has sparked outrage in the Dhanusha region. Locals are accusing the Janakpur City Police of animal cruelty, alleging that they have beaten and thrown bulls from moving vehicles.
Multiple incidents have been reported in recent weeks. In Gaushala Municipality, Mahottari, one bull was found dead and another unconscious in a nearby forest. Similar cases occurred in Mithila Municipality, Dhanusha, where several bulls were found injured or dead along the banks of the Basahi River.
Eyewitnesses claim to have seen Janakpur City Police officers beating and drugging the bulls before throwing them from a tipper truck. CCTV footage appears to corroborate these claims, showing the vehicle leaving the scene with the bulls inside.
Local authorities and animal welfare organizations are investigating the allegations. The Janakpur City Police have not yet issued a statement in response.
The incidents have raised concerns about the treatment of animals in the region and the need for stricter laws and enforcement to prevent such cruelty.
