A bus accident in Ramechhap district of Nepal has left eight people injured, including the driver. The incident occurred this morning at Birta Lampani in Khimti, located in Likhu Tamakoshi rural municipality-6.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Pradeep Kumar Singh of the District Police Office Ramechhap, the Araniko Transport Pvt. bus (registration number Ba 5 K ha 5624) was en route to Manthali when it slipped in mud. The bus was carrying 25 passengers at the time of the accident.
Three of the injured are reported to be in serious condition. The victims are currently receiving treatment at the Primary Health Center in Khimti and Manthali Hospital. Those with severe injuries have been transferred to Kathmandu for advanced medical care.
Local authorities have detained the bus driver for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation into the incident.
