Bus Crash Injures Dozens on Trishuli Riverbank

A passenger bus traveling from Nepalgunj, Banke, to Kathmandu, plunged onto the Trishuli Riverbank near Fisling, Chitwan, this morning. At least 12 people were injured, with several reported in serious condition.

The Muglin Area Police Office confirmed that Bus No. Bhe 1 Kha 4062 collided with a car (01-029 Cha 3720) traveling in the opposite direction on the Prithvi Highway near Fisling in Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality 3. The incident occurred around 7:30 am.

While the bus went off the road and landed precariously on the riverbank, the car remained on the roadside. Inspector Nirla Bhandari of the Muglin Area Police Office stated that the bus driver and two car occupants sustained critical injuries.

Other passengers on the bus also received injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
