TANAHUN, Nepal – A tourist bus carrying 26 passengers overturned in the Tanahu district, resulting in injuries to six Chinese tourists. The bus, registered as Ba 1 Pa 1139, was traveling from Pokhara to Kathmandu when the accident occurred.
“The bus overturned on the right side of the road,” confirmed District Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohan Bahadur Khan. “The injured tourists are currently undergoing treatment at the GP Koirala National Respiratory Treatment Center in Belchautara.”
Authorities have detained the bus driver and an investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
