A bus (number GA 2 KHA 1440) traveling towards Malangwa struck and seriously injured local cyclist Jugal Mahato in Kavilasi Municipality 10 Salempur around 10:30 am. In response, angry locals set the bus on fire, resulting in its destruction.
Mahato is currently under treatment at Malangwa Provincial Hospital.
Superintendent of Police Dayanidhi Dahal of Sarlahi confirmed that an investigation into the incident is underway.
