Nepal’s Civil Aviation Authority has requested urgent clarification from Nepal Airlines Corporation and its chief, Yuvraj Adhikari, regarding 27 points of concern. These points stem from critical findings in audits conducted by both the European Union (EU) and the Authority itself.

“We have given them seven days to provide explanations,” stated Deputy Director General of the Authority, Jagannath Niraula.

Key areas where clarification is demanded include:

  • Lack of staffing in three crucial departments within the corporation.
  • Aircraft remaining grounded for extended periods.
  • Identified weaknesses in flight safety protocols.

These demands highlight the regulatory body’s serious concerns about the airline’s operations and its potential failure to meet international safety standards.
