Kathmandu, Nepal: The latest installment of the popular Nepali comedy franchise, Chhakka Panja 5, is continuing its strong performance at the domestic box office. According to industry sources, the film has collected approximately 6.5 crores nationwide up until Sunday.
While the official figures from the distributors are yet to be released, early estimates indicate that Chhakka Panja 5 has been consistently drawing large crowds and commanding high ticket prices. The film has garnered significant revenue in both Kathmandu Valley and other regions of Nepal, demonstrating its widespread appeal.
If this trend continues, Chhakka Panja 5 is expected to easily surpass the 7 crore mark by Monday. This impressive earnings pace surpasses that of previous installments in the Chhakka Panja series, likely due to the film’s family-friendly content and strong audience engagement.
Another notable performer at the box office is the action film 12 Gaun, directed by Biraj Bhatta. Although official figures are not available, 12 Gaun has also been demonstrating strong occupancy rates and ticket sales.
Both films have successfully converted their showtimes into paying customers, indicating a healthy demand for Nepali cinema in the domestic market.
