A six-year-old boy lost his life after drowning in a pond near his home in Sarlahi district. The incident occurred on Saturday in Brahmapuri Rural Municipality.
According to local authorities, Ankit Sah, a resident of Brahmapuri-2, was swimming in the pond when he encountered difficulties. Despite immediate efforts by neighbors to rescue him, the child was unable to be revived.
Deepak Shrestha, the Deputy Superintendent of Police for Sarlahi, confirmed the tragic event and stated that investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the drowning.
