A gold and silver shop in Kalika Municipality, Chitwan, was targeted by robbers on Saturday night. The incident occurred at Binod Goldsmith’s shop located in Kholesimal Bazar around 9:30 PM.
According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, two individuals entered the shop and threatened the staff with a pistol-like object. They then proceeded to loot approximately 3 kilograms of gold, 35 kilograms of silver, and Rs. 2 lakhs in cash.
The robbers also took a step to hinder identification by removing the shop’s CCTV hard drive. Despite this, police swiftly launched an investigation and have detained four individuals suspected of involvement in the robbery. The investigation is ongoing.
