The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has taken legal action against Pramod Niraula, an accountant working at the Department of Foreign Employment in Tahachal, Kathmandu, over corruption allegations.
Niraula stands accused of receiving a bribe of 15,000 rupees from an individual in exchange for services related to the return of a deposited amount. Following his apprehension, the CIAA formally charged him under the Prevention of Corruption Act, of 2002. A case has been filed against Niraula at the Special Court in Kathmandu.
