The Chairman of the Janamat Party, CK Raut, advocates for a substantial overhaul in the political realm, urging for a directly-elected Prime Minister chosen by the populace.

During a session in the House of Representatives, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal faced reproach from CK Raut, who criticized what he saw as a consistent disregard for the people’s voting power.

Raut stressed the necessity to deviate from the conventional method of securing confidence through parliamentary votes, stating, “Repeatedly seeking votes of confidence has demeaned the esteemed Parliament.”

Proposing a profound alteration in the political procedure, Raut called for the implementation of a system where the Prime Minister is directly elected by the citizens. He voiced his dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs and declared his refusal to support the government until this democratic reform was realized.
