The President of the Nepali Congress (NC), Sher Bahadur Deuba, has called for a gathering of the Central Working Committee (CWC) scheduled for Tuesday.
Krishna Prasad Poudel, the Chief Secretary of the NC Central Office, confirmed that the CWC assembly is slated to occur at 3 pm on Tuesday at President Deuba’s residence in Budhanilkantha.
In light of recent shifts in the political scenario, the committee will delve into discussions and analyses of these unfolding developments.
A noteworthy meeting of the party’s office bearers and former office bearers transpired on Monday, paving the way for the upcoming CWC meeting.
Poudel underscored that the primary agenda of the meeting is to meticulously examine recent significant events and developments.
Despite the provision for 46 members in the CWC, the current count stands at 37 members.
In response to the establishment of a new coalition, encompassing parties such as CPN-UML, Rastriya Swatantra Party, Janata Samajwadi, and others, the Nepali Congress has convened this CWC meeting to assess the implications and formulate strategies accordingly.
