Kathmandu, Nepal – Former minister and prominent CPN leader, Dambar Shrestha, succumbed to lung cancer at the age of 73. Shrestha passed away peacefully at his residence in Chitwan on Wednesday morning, October 16, 2024, at 3:08 AM.
A heartfelt cremation ceremony was held on the same day, attended by a number of prominent figures, including CPN General Secretary CP Mainali and leaders from various political parties. Central Member Parasuram Lamichhane confirmed the attendance of these dignitaries at the condolence meeting.
Shrestha is survived by his son and daughter. His untimely passing has left a void in the political landscape of Nepal.
