Krishna Bahadur Mahara, the vice-president of the CPN-Maoist Center and former speaker, who was apprehended in connection with the gold smuggling case, has been hospitalized at Norvic Hospital in Thapathali.
Hobindra Bogati, the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) SP and Spokesperson, confirmed Mahara’s admission to Norvic Hospital. This decision came after the District Court Kathmandu mandated Mahara’s hospitalization due to his deteriorating health.
The District Court Kathmandu granted a four-day custody extension to the police and directed that Mahara be transferred to the hospital, considering his health condition.
