Neelam Khanal, the president of CPN-UML Sunsari, passed away while en route to India for medical treatment. He had been receiving care for intestinal issues and was being transported to Hyderabad, India for further treatment when he died.
Rabi Khanal, a youth leader from CPN-UML Sunsari, stated that preparations are being made to bring Neelam Khanal’s body back to Nepal. Khanal had been taken to India on Tuesday.
Neelam Khanal was elected as the chairman of CPN-UML Sunsari during the district’s eighth convention, held from May 18th to 20th, where he defeated Khemraj Pokharel.
