The indefinite curfew in Birgunj, imposed due to security concerns, has been temporarily relaxed. The District Administration Office, Parsa, lifted the restrictions from 6:00 am to 11:00 am today to allow residents to attend to their needs.
Chief District Officer (CDO) of Parsa, Dinesh Sagar Bhusal, stated that further relaxations will occur based on an ongoing assessment of the situation. The decision to ease the curfew was made to minimize disruption to daily life in the country’s financial city.
The situation in Birgunj is reported as normal. The curfew was originally imposed last Monday evening after a near-clash during a demonstration by a Hindu Samaj group, following a dispute between two other parties.
