School Bus Collision in Rangeli

Rangeli: A cyclist died after being hit by a school bus in Rangeli on Sunday morning.

The deceased has been identified as 55-year-old Jagannath Thakur of Dhanpalthan Rural Municipality. The accident occurred around 9:45 AM at the Cheka bridge in Rangeli Municipality when Thakur’s bicycle was struck by a speeding school bus, with plate number KO 1 KA 1700, en route to pick up students in Biratnagar.

Thakur sustained critical injuries and was rushed to Rangeli Hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.

The bus driver, 57-year-old Indra Prasad Mishra from Jhapa, has been detained by Rangeli Police for further investigation.
