Currently, skies are mostly clear in the hilly regions, including Koshi Province. This afternoon, expect partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies in the hilly areas, with a chance of light rain, thunder, lightning, and gusty winds in some places of the Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki regions. There’s also a possibility of light snowfall in the high hills and Himalayas of these provinces.
Meanwhile, scorching temperatures persist in the Terai region of Far-West and Lumbini, with highs reaching 40 degrees Celsius or above for several days. The department warns of a potential heatwave in these areas until June 18th, urging residents to take necessary precautions against extreme heat.
