Traffic has been completely stopped on the southern section of Daunne of the East-West Highway in Nawalpur due to severe flooding.
The road was inundated near Daunne in Nawalpur on Tuesday night, forcing authorities to implement a one-way traffic system. However, with the situation worsening, a decision has been made to halt all traffic until 1:00 PM today to allow for necessary repairs.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Bed Bahadur Paudel from the Nawalparasi East District Police Office explained that the road in Daunne Bazaar, located in Binayi Tribeni Rural Municipality-2, is at risk of further damage if repairs are not carried out immediately.
Motorists traveling through the area are advised to seek alternative routes until the road is reopened.
