A man’s body was discovered on the bank of the Narayani River in Gaindakot, East Nawalparasi, on July 1. The deceased is believed to be between 60 and 65 years old.
The body was found in Thumsi, Gaindakot Municipality-Ward 9, according to authorities. It was reportedly washed ashore by the river and in a state that made identification difficult.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bed Bahadur Paudel of the Nawalparasi District Police Office confirmed the discovery. He stated that an investigation is currently underway to determine the identity of the deceased and the cause of death.
