The ongoing search and recovery efforts following the devastating Simaltal bus accident have yielded another tragic discovery at the Gandak Barrage on the Nepal-India border. The body of a female passenger, swept away by the swollen Trishuli River, has been recovered from the banks of the Narayani River in Binayi Tribeni Rural Municipality-7.
Authorities believe the victim is one of the many passengers who were aboard the ill-fated buses that were carried away by a landslide last week. This latest recovery brings the total number of bodies found to 20, with 14 already identified.
The relentless search and rescue operation continues as authorities work tirelessly to locate the remaining missing passengers and provide closure to the affected families.
