Moscow: The tragic toll from the partial collapse of a residential building in Nizhny Tagil, Russia, has climbed to ten, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Rescue teams have recovered ten bodies from the rubble while successfully rescuing fifteen others.
The incident occurred on Thursday when a gas explosion caused two entrances of a five-story building to collapse. Five of the rescued individuals remain in critical condition and are receiving medical treatment.
Local authorities have declared August 3 a day of mourning to honor the victims. Search and rescue operations are ongoing.
