Dhangadhi, the capital of the Far West Province, sweltered under a record-breaking heatwave on Thursday. The scorching temperature reached a staggering 44.1 degrees Celsius, surpassing the previous record set on Wednesday.

Data from the Mahakali Basin Field Office, which falls under the Department of Meteorology and Science, confirmed the new high. This is the hottest temperature recorded in Dhangadhi so far this year.
