Donald Trump has been elected as the 47th President of the United States, winning the required number of electoral votes in this year’s election.

Trump was first elected president in 2016 but lost to Joe Biden in the 2020 election. This year, he ran for re-election, facing Democratic vice president Kamala Harris as his main opponent.

In this election, Trump secured a total of 279 electoral votes, passing the 270-vote threshold needed to win the presidency. Among the key states that helped him reach this total were Wisconsin, with 10 electoral votes, and Alaska, with three electoral votes. Both states are projected to go to the Republicans, further boosting Trump’s electoral count.

Although Trump has achieved the electoral votes needed, the Election Commission has yet to release an official announcement to confirm his victory.
