A magnitude 4.4 earthquake struck the Soreng area of Sikkim, India, on Friday morning. The tremor, originating at a depth of 10 kilometers, was felt in neighboring regions including West Bengal, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Bhutan.

While the earthquake caused no immediate reports of damage or casualties, it served as a reminder of the region’s seismic activity.
