Biratchowk – Eastern Nepal has been experiencing heavy rainfall since late afternoon, affecting major cities like Biratnagar, Biratchowk, Itahari, and Belbari. The downpour began around 5:45 PM in Biratchowk, quickly spreading to the surrounding areas.
Reports indicate significant rainfall across the entire eastern region.
This heavy rain comes amidst concerns raised by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology earlier this month. They predicted the possibility of heavy rainfall throughout Nepal during the monsoon season due to the impacts of climate change.
