Eight passengers tragically lost their lives in a jeep accident in Tinau-6, Shikhardanda, Palpa on Tuesday evening. The accident occurred around 5 PM when a jeep (Lu 1 Ja 2371) traveling from Dumre to Shikhardanda veered off the road.
Local police have confirmed the recovery of eight bodies from the scene. “Our team is on-site assessing the situation,” stated DSP Subarna Shrestha.
Ward Chair of Tinau-6, Tom Bahadur Pun, reports an additional 15 individuals have been rescued and rushed to Lumbini Medical College for emergency treatment. The condition of most of the injured is reported to be critical.
Identities of the deceased and injured have not yet been released. Further investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
