Lamjung: A 65-year-old woman was found murdered at her home in Tiwaridanda, Besisahar Municipality-11, Chiti, on Wednesday morning. The victim, identified as Sannani Gharti, was discovered with fatal head injuries.
Local authorities were alerted to the incident around 7-8 am after hearing commotion from the area. Gharti, who lived alone, was planning to travel to Kathmandu and was expecting a jeep to pick her up.
Police suspect a sharp weapon was used in the murder and have launched an investigation into the incident. The victim’s son resides abroad, while her daughter-in-law and daughter are currently in Kathmandu.
The gruesome murder has shocked the local community, and authorities are working to apprehend the perpetrator.
